With Uday, versatility is the key word. Therefore it isn't quite surprising to find him involved in a variety of projects catering to wide musical tastes and genres.

And the journey so far has been an immensely satisfying one. Uday upheld the rhythm section as an 'A' grade tabla player and rhythm arranger in Columbia Broadcasting Services (CBS), Mumbai during 1992-93.

He has also accompanied artistes of high stature such as Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Jasraj, Ustad Sultan Khan, Pt. Vijay Raghav Rao, Ustad Shahid Pervez besides Shivamani & Ustad Taufiq Qureshi to name others.

Some of his recent collaborations have been with popular western musicians like Edgar Meyer (USA) Kenny Arnoff (USA) Brett Mills (Canada) Sharam Nazeri (Iran) Papa Jeh (UK) Jergen Ohnmus (Germany) and his associations back home have been just as fruitful with compositions for Hindi Commercial films and TV serials with luminaries such as Asha Bhosale, Suresh Wadkar, Sadhana Sargam, Ravindra Sathe, Hrishikesh Ranade, Kumar Sanu & Yashwant Deo. At present he is a band member of India's top fusion ensemble headed by Milind Datey the famous flautist.
